Dávid Verrasztó can be the European Goliath at the Olympic Games.

If Dávid manages to better himself and the time with which he won the European Championships in London, he could very well become the Goliath of the Olympics in Rio!

“Until the European Championships, fortune wasn’t really smiling on me.  A month ago, I was licking my own wounds with broken ribs, waiting for the moment to be able to compete again. Those eight weeks without competing didn’t do me a lot of good, leaving out the national championships in Győr and missing other opportunities really showed up on my competing time at the European Championships.” declared Dávid to the World Championships’ website.

Dávid isn’t going to try any new practices or training methods before the Olympics.

„We will not change our well-tried and tested methods, which paid off at the WCH in Kazan, hopefully they will work this year as well. The difference is, that I need to make up for the lost trainings persistently, rather fast. Our plans should work out, if nothing gets in the way.”

“Surely, I need to get back to work, I can only truly celebrate my second gold medal from the European Championship for a few days. At least six of us are going to compete for the medals in Rio. Up till now, I have been working really hard, I will continue do to so and we will see, what I can accomplish at the Olympic Games - Dávid added.
