Having turned 23 only a few days ago, Boglárka had very specific goals and even a hidden dream before facing the European Championships in London.
“I aimed to come first both in the 800m and 1500m freestyle, I would have been sad if I messed up either one. At the same time, our 4x200m relay success was the fulfilment of a secret wish, that I had for a while. As for the 400m freestyle victory, having won four gold medals, I can hardly believe it, it really has been a dream come true.
Boglárka Kapás managed to answer three questions with the exact same answer: it was all worth it!
„ It was worth the work, I cannot even tell you how much, but I do not regret it, I took a year of university, till the Olympic Games. I do not wish to hurt anyone, but it was worth it to change clubs and trainers, before I became jaded. I feel I am stronger not just physically, but mentally as well. This can turn into a medal in Rio as well!! I would like my goals, and dreams to combine and bring out the best in Rio, at the Olympic Games!” -highlighted Boglárka Kapás, whose story began, when she won gold in 200m butterfly and 400m freestyle at the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore 6 years ago
