A lot of famous personalities of Hungary’s sport life showed up on the stands on the biggest match of the 17th FINA World Championships so far – Hungary versus Italy, which ended in a 9-9 tie.
We already knew that the olympic- and/or world champions per one square meter rate is really high in Hungary’s swimming complexes and the whole sports society respects and is interested in the country’s water polo team.

A lot of famous people showed up on the stands when Hungary and Italy jumped into the pool, partly because the Club of Hungarian Olympic Champions organized an event to cheer on the Hungarian team, who was able to come back from a two goal deficit and battled out a tie at the end.

Among others, Daniel Varga (and his wife) – who resigned from the national water polo team recently – György Nébald, Lídia Sákovicsné Dömölki from the fencing team, Antal Dunai football player, Attila Ábrahám, Gabriella Szabó and Rudolf Dombi kayakers and of course fencer Tímea Nagy, who is the director of the Hajós Complex facilities.
