László Fábián expects a 160-member Hungarian olympic team in Rio, with every fifth of them a swimmer. Sporting director of the Hungarian Olympic Committee is not surprised by this fact, as Hungarian swimmers have performed well since the games in London.
„Swimmers can be the ’front men’ of our team again. They have 30 quotas in the pool right now, and this number can increase further until the olympics. Furthermore, thanks to Éva Risztov and Márk Papp, we will have open water swimmers in Rio as well. It would be great if two-time swimmer of the year Katinka Hosszú and 30 year-old László Cseh, whose dream is an olympic gold medal, performed well in the games” – the former olympic, world and European champion pentathlonist László Fábián said.
