In the year of the 17th FINA World Championships, the FINA Diving Grand Prix Tour has just started in Rostock on the last weekend.

All individual springboard and platform events were triumphed by Chinese participants in Rostock, Germany, on the first stage of 2017 FINA Diving Grand Prix Tour. Interest was not so significant but several Chinese, German, Canadian, Belarus Dutch, etc. athletes competed during the event.

The reason of the low interest is that FINA Diving World Series will start soon at the next weekend, in Beijing, China. The biggest stars of this discipline will compete in the capital of China.

Among men Peng Jianfeng (3m) and Jian Wang while among women Wu Chuntig and Zhang Minjie took the gold and on 10m synchronised platform the Chinese duo, Zhang Jiaqi/Zhang Minjie also won the title.

Star of the host country, bronze medallist if the Olympic Games in Rio, Patrick Hausding has had a succesful tournament by winning the silver in the men's 3m event and morevover he and his partner, Stephan Feck were the best on 3m synchro.

The next meet of the Grand Prix will be held in Gatineau, Canada on April 6-9. Until the 17. FINA World Championships four Grand Prix event will be organised.
