JAKABOS Zsuzsanna, 4:41.40, fininshed as 12th in women's 400m IM:
"I felt like I had no power left in my arms, I got rather exhausted, this past week was pretty demanding. I was involved in the last heat last night, now I was participating in the first one so it was not an easy job to do. Of course I am cheering on the relay, it hasn't been decided whether there will be a change if the girls can make it to the final. If they tell me to jump in, I will. Concerning the entire tournament I have nothing to be dissatisfied about, I have participated in several relay heats and two individual events, as well, maybe the race last night was the best for me when I could touch in the national record (53.60), which is quite an achievement even if it was flying start. The World Championships in Budapest is a lifetime experience, we are grateful for everyone cheering on us all throughout the week. "
GYURTA Gergely, 4:19.90, finished as 18th in men's 400m IM:
"I am rather disappointed, this is not what I have been preparing for, but as you can see from the splits, something went wrong at the end. If I had managed to swim my personal best I would have qualified for the final easily. Concerning the World Championships I have twofold feelings, I am happy about my 6th place finish in 25km open water swimming but I aimed at advancing to the 400m medley final. I felt relaxed before the race but my speed has decreased significantly after the 25km, this is all for now. I am sorry about it, but I take all responsibility, it is me who made a mistake. "
VERRASZTÓ Dávid, 4:11.89, reached the final in men's 400m IM:
"Everything went well till 300m, the last 100m was somewhat slower. My heat was a bit slower than the previous one, but it is not a problem, I will do my best in the afternoon to stick to the leading pack and have a good placement. Now it is the time to cool down, I'll try and recover for the afternoon race."
