The Budapest 2017 Organising Committee is proud to announce that until now 30 000 tickets were sold since the first, early bird ticket sales opened on December 1, 2016.

During this first sales phase, only a certain number of seating sectors had been opened, the speed and popularity of buying tickets have positively stunned even the Organisers. Thus, it is already clear to see that a huge, enthusiastic crowd will enjoy all events of the 17th FINA World Championships in Budapest and Balatonfüred. Ticket prices – especially during the early bird phase – were set to be affordable by all: families, students, senior citizens of Hungary and the whole world can gather to enjoy this great Aquatics show together!

Currently, the highest interest is for the swimming sessions: almost 19 000 tickets have been sold so far. Hungary’s national team sport, water polo is very popular as well: more than 6000 tickets were bought until now to Alfred Hajos Swimming Complex. (The final programme of the World Championships’ water polo tournament will be published following the official draw during the spring of 2017.)

Lots of tickets were sold for Városliget (City Park) where synchronised swimming will fascinate spectators, while high diving – a discipline making its Hungarian debut in 2017 – is just as anticipated.

Due to the unprecedented popularity and speed of ticket sales, the Budapest 2017 Organising Committee suggests buying tickets as soon as possible here. Do not worry if tickets for your most awaited event or session are not on sale for the moment, ticket release and sales will continue with the second round in the soon coming months!
