Éva Risztov is satisfied with the 17 FINA World Championships so far. According to the Hungarian Olympic gold medallist not only the organisation of races but the results by Hungarian swimmers are unbelievable, on top of that, the 25km race might bring about some surprises.
’I cheer on Hungarian swimmers in the longest course as well, anything could happen there. Perhaps not just one but two Hungarian competitors will be able to stand on the podium’ said the winner of the London Games.
Earlier, Risztov was the only one to win in 10km leading all throughout the race, now Aurélie Muller managed to accomplish the same at Lake Balaton, she was leading from the beginning to the end.
’Being the best of the World is something, yet in fact the French lady copied my tactic. In the past there were periods of open water swimming dominated by different nations. At times Germans or Russians were on top, now France is the most successful but they could not claim all gold medals, for instance the winner of men’s 10km is a Dutch competitor.
