As a result of the continuous heat the water of Lake Balaton is increasingly warm. On Monday the maximum water temperature reached 22-23 degree Celsius, it is anticipated that by Tuesday (competition day for men’s 10k) it will be as high as 24 degree Celsius. It is still considered close to optimal. However, as hot summer weather is continued it is likely that the water temperature will continue to rise by Friday (competition day for 25k) challenging long course swimmers entering the race.
